I know I complain about school a lot, but…
for real, if I can drop out of school 3 times, (I dropped out of South Meck at 17, went back to Audrey Kell at 18 and dropped out three weeks later before I went to PLC at 19 and left after 2 months) and get a diploma, NOT a G.E.D, you can fucking do it too. I can’t really speak for any other state, but any 18 year old this side of North Carolina can go to CPCC, take 2 hours and sign up for the Adult High School Diploma program, and finish it. I know it’s taken me a a minute to finish, but to be completely fair… I hardly even try. I’m talking like, at all. When I did put effort in, I finished an entire course (I mean the whole thing, final and all) in two weeks. It’s simple work, the only reason I take my time is because I can afford to. CPCC doesn’t even require 24 credits, it’s only 20.
Seriously, I have NO empathy for people without high school diplomas. I dropped out because I was puking in the parking lot every fucking day because I had serious anxiety, tried two more times, and failed. If I can finish this shit, anyone can. Fuck high school and all the kids there, but for real - at least go the alternate route and get your diploma, dude - it’s really not hard.
